The History

FOURAMS Group is a business driven and sustained through eight decades with higher reputation of quality service in Batticaloa District. Late Mr APM Noohulebbe initially founded the business. He opened up his grocery business with pharmaceutical retail in 1937 and named “Tip Top”.

With a successful operation and development of Mr Noohulebbe with his notorious business values, the business gained a tremendous reputation and integrity beyond the size.

In 1994, following the demise of Mr Noohu Lebbe, his son-in-law Mr MI Sinna Lebbe, a graduate and retired teacher, had taken the business operations. Innovative and Proactive ideas of Mr Sinnalebbe, lead Tip Top to pitch its business branding and values among the people of Baticaloa region. It also earned the massive reputation within short period of time and slowly became a successful business model in the region.

In 2002, Mr SLM Ariff, son of Mr Sinnalebbe has taken over the business operations with his visionary entrepreneurial skills to expand the business into various dimensions.

Ariff has successfully developed the areas of business and initiated five other subsidiaries, which have earned revolutionary business expansions.

1994 – Mr MI Sinnalebbe, has taken over the business operations

2004 – Mr Ariff became in-charge for the Business

2010 – Business operation started in the name of FOURAMS Group.

2012 – FOURAMS City Centre was launched

2012 – FOURAMS Cash and Carry was launched

2012 – FOURAMS Cafe was founded

2019 – UMART Frenchise chain was formed.
